Strictly necessary storage
The cookie-consent local storage item is not a tracking cookie. It only records your accept/decline choice and does not identify you personally. Because it's needed to run the banner itself, it's set regardless of your choice.
Analytics cookies
Google Analytics 4 is fully switched off until you click "Accept Analytics" on the cookie banner. No Google Analytics script loads and no _ga cookies are set before that point. If you decline, or leave the banner without a choice, your visit is not tracked.
Other services on this site
Enquiry forms on this site are handled by Formspree, a third-party form processing service, which may set its own cookies while a form is open. These are set by the third-party service itself, not by us, and are covered by that service's own cookie and privacy policy rather than this one.
Changing your choice
You can accept or decline analytics cookies at any time. Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and change your choice. Clearing your browser's local storage has the same effect: the banner will show again on your next visit.
