Landscaper in Walsall
We're based just outside Walsall in Great Wyrley, about five miles up the road, so it's usually the first job we look at in the morning and the last one we can fit in at the end of the day. Most of our Walsall work is patios and driveways, split fairly evenly between the older terraced streets close to the town centre and the semi-detached estates further out towards Bloxwich and Pelsall. We've been doing this for ten years, and Walsall's one of the areas we know best.

Why choose us in Walsall
We’re not driving across the West Midlands to reach you, Great Wyrley is five miles up the road, so getting a digger and dumper on site for a bigger job doesn’t add a premium to the quote the way it might for a firm based further out.
- SSSTS certified supervision on every job, plus CPCS tickets for digger, dumper and roller work
- Fixed price agreed before we start, based on a proper site visit, not a rough guess over the phone
- Concrete-set fence posts and correct sub-base depth as standard, not a shortcut version to hit a lower price
- Free, no-obligation quotes, with a realistic start date given at the same time
If you’re not sure whether a job’s worth quoting, call us anyway. A lot of our Walsall work started as a “is this even possible” phone call, usually about a tight side access or an odd-shaped garden that a previous quote had turned down.
We also carry stock materials for common repair jobs, a cracked slab, a blown fence panel, a sunken section of block paving, so a smaller job doesn’t need to wait behind a full installation to get booked in.
Services available in Walsall
Patios and driveways are what we're asked for most in Walsall, roughly in that order. On the older terraced streets it's often a smaller rear patio or a side access path where hand-dug groundwork is unavoidable, while the semi-detached areas tend to bring in full driveway and block paving jobs where we can get the digger and dumper on site properly.
Patio Installation
Porcelain and Indian sandstone patios, laid on a proper sub-base with correct falls for drainage. Fixed price agreed before we dig.

Local to Walsall
The closer you get to the town centre, the older the housing and the smaller the gardens, which changes how we plan a job. A lot of the Victorian terraces around areas like Palfrey, Caldmore and the Chuckery have long, narrow rear gardens behind a shared entry, so machinery access is limited and more of the groundwork ends up done by hand rather than with the digger. Head further out towards the 1930s semis around Bloxwich and Pelsall, or the postwar estates on the edge of town, and gardens open up considerably, which is where most of our full driveway and larger patio jobs happen. The clay-heavy ground typical of this part of the Black Country also means we pay close attention to drainage falls on every patio, standing water on clay is a common complaint we hear from homeowners who've had paving laid without it. A lot of the older properties also still have the original brick boundary walls, which we work around rather than knock through, since replacing one properly is its own job and cost that most customers don't need adding to a patio quote.
Common landscaper problems in Walsall
The biggest recurring issue is drainage: clay subsoil doesn't let water away naturally, so a patio or driveway laid without proper falls and a sub-base ends up with puddling within a year or two. On the older terraced properties, boundary walls and tight side access also mean jobs need more careful planning around how materials actually get into the garden, not just what goes down once they're there.
